Keep Ears Healthy With Wireless Puro Sound Labs

Headphones Cover
Did you know that 26 million American's have hearing loss caused by noise? Did you also know that this type of hearing loss is 100% preventable? The NIDCD (National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders reports that "As many as 16% of teens (ages 12 to 19) have reported some hearing loss that could have been caused by loud noise ** In this technologically driven culture, if your kids are anything like mine, they are never too far from electronics. From iPods, to hand held game systems, tablets, and phones there is always something to connect to. Though I try to steer my kids, as much as possible, to unplug, I also believe it's important to teach them to create healthy time limits on electronics. Music however, is always allowed in our house! I have longed to find a pair of wireless headphones for my kids and without a doubt, I believe when I found Puro Sound Lab headphones, I found the best pair on the market! Puro Sound Labs sent me their Studio Grade Children's Bluetooth Headphones (pictured above) at no cost to facilitate this review. If you are in the market for headphones for your children, the look is over! **Information provided in the Your Guide To Healthy Hearing by Puro Sound Labs and Hearing Health Foundation

BT2200 Studio Grade Children's Bluetooth Headphones

This was one of the reviews all the kids crowded around to see the grand unveiling out of the box. From the youngest to the oldest (including myself) these headphones did not disappoint and we all took turns trying them out. Okay, Some of us might have taken more than one turn. These headphones are incredibly sharp looking and each and every feature of this product is produced with top notch quality. The more I used these headphones, the more I loved everything about them.

With our Puro Balanced Response® sound curve along with Healthy Ears® hearing protection, the BT2200 headphones are unique on the market and a great choice for parents who are concerned about hearing health but want to give their children a product that they will actually want to use. There are a couple of things that we can say definitively. Our BT2200 headphones have the most advanced noise limiting solution on the market. Period. Our headphones are the best sounding kids headphones available. Period.

Puro Kids headphones are safe for a child’s hearing and sound terrific.

Our approach to safe listening is unique. It starts with a simple formula.

  1. Block out 82% of the background noise Our design is fully passive and yet is able to knock out background (ambient) noise on a level that is comparable to some of best active noise cancelling headphones on the market)
  2. Limit volume to 85 dB This is the maximum safe listening level as recommended by many organizations (Hearing Health Foundation, OSHA, World Health Organization, American Speech Pathology Association, etc.).
  3. Studio Grade Audio quality with our patent-pending Puro Balanced Response® curve. Genuine studio grade audio, engineered to deliver an amazing listening experience with clear, crisp vocals and full, dynamic bass all within 85 dB volume limit. - Puro Sound Labs

The headphone case itself is absolutely fantastic! Though it is a hard case it's still comfortable to carry. I adore this case! The headphones fit snugly into the case and still leaves room for both the charging cable and headphone wire, instruction and information packets, and more! I appreciate that this case is a little bit larger which is perfect for younger kids. We have yet to misplace or lose it! Headphones collage 3 If it was acceptable to wear headphones everywhere I'd never take these off! Made of leather and easy to extend or lower to perfectly fit your child's head (or in my case - I'm a small adult), these are without a doubt the most comfortable set of headphones I've ever worn. They are unbelievably light weight and once you have adjusted these headphones to the appropriate size they stay in place. The "R" and "L" make it easy for kids to know which ear each side goes on.

One of the headphones contains all the extra buttons you will use including the "on/off" switch, plus or minus symbol to control volume, bluetooth button to pair your headphones to your device, a jack for charging your headphones as well as a plug-in should you choose to use them wired. Having all of the control buttons on once side makes it simple and easy for kids to use.  I have paired these headphones with my iPad Pro and it literally took me seconds. My kids don't know it yet, but I'm totally planning on borrowing these headphones for my morning runs!

Rock on sweet boy! Elijah was super excited about his new Puro headphones he's been finding reasons to use them ever since they arrived. Our family uses Google Play and on my iPad the kids are able to create their own playlists. The sound quality is better than any other head set I have ever used. The secret truly is in the ability of these headphones to block out all other outside sound, which means the listener doesn't have to turn the music as loud to hear. When wearing the Puro's and listening to music, if one of my other children is watching a movie in the same room, the headphones block out the TV. In the car, they block out the chatter of siblings. Neither myself, nor my kids have ever complained about not being able to hear the music in these Puro headphones. From comfort and cool factor to sound quality and hearing health, there is absolutely everything to love about these Children's Wireless Headphones!

Don't just take my word for it, here's what other's had to say about these top notch headphones:

  • Wirecutter - If you have a kid in your life who needs a pair of headphones, the Puro BT2200 is the best option to protect growing ears. After putting in around 80 hours of research—including speaking to experts at the WHO, CDC, and NIDCD, seriously considering more than 50 models of kids headphones, and testing and measuring the top 30 contenders for 59 hours across several days—we’re confident that the Puro BT2200 is the best choice. The Puro headphones not only met our volume-limiting test standards but also were the only pair liked by both the toddlers and the big kids who helped us test. They support Bluetooth (which can provide more effective volume limiting than traditional headphone tech), but they also work corded (so you can use them with lots of devices), and they sound good enough for adults to use, too.

There's simply no substitute for headphones that not only protect your child's hearing, but in terms of over all performance, are simply heads above the rest!

  2. I like that they provide ear protection for safe listening. Too many folks have noise induced hearing loss from listening to music that is too loud.
