Brighten Up Bedtime With The LiteCup

"Mommy! I need a drink of water!" "Mommy! Can you please leave the hall light on?" These are probably two of the most commonly used phrases of my children at bedtime. Although sometimes I think it's just an extra way to stall the inevitable, all parent's have experienced how the darkness can be scary for a young child, especially when they are transitioning from a crib to a bed. Bedtime at our house involves getting four children (from age 2 up to 11) through the bedtime routine and tucked in by their 7:30 and 8:30 bedtimes and every now and then we sometimes forget that last drink of water. My oldest of course is old enough to jump out of bed and grab herself a glass, but for my younger children, to get one last needed sip of water has to involve some adult help. I was so excited when the LiteCup came into our lives because it not only adds a bit of practical fun to bedtime, it's a way my younger children can have a glass of water readily available without the worry of spills.

The liteCup is the perfect size for any kid! It's light enough to be held by my youngest, but big enough that my 5 and 6-year old children don't feel like they are drinking from a "baby" cup. If you are just looking for a new spill-proof cup, the LiteCup is perfect for both day and night! Here are just a few reasons why Sippy Cups don't get much better than the LiteCup:
  • Simple, clean design with lots of bright colored lids
  • Independent, mess free drinking - day or night
  • Effective non-spill valve
  • 360 cup means you can drink from anywhere on the rim
  • Free flow natural drinking starting with just a small sip - Great for older kids learning to transition from a sippy cup to a glass
  • Perfect for travel
  • Light sensitive so you don't have to worry about turning it on or off for nighttime use
  • Nightlight can be manually switched on or off to save on battery life
  •  Night-light battery and LED bulb are encased in a plastic unit or "litepack" that can click in or out of the base.
  • Each litepack lasts up to 3 months - Battery is replaceable.
  • Easy to clean. Dishwasher safe after removing the "litepack"
  • Suitable for all non-fizzy cold drinks - Taken from LiteCup website

The battery pack is very easy to snap on and off the cup for cleaning purposes and as a busy mom, one of the first things I look for in a food or drink product is whether or not it can be thrown in the dishwasher. It's probably one of the things I love most about products. Not only does it make it easy to clean, but also to sanitize as well. With a little bit of thumb pressure on the battery pack, the nightlight is easily turned on or off (if you have ever tried to send Morse Code from the top of a Snapple lid, you'll have no problem with this battery pack).

One of the things I especially love about the LiteCup is the company that distributes it in the USA  - Chewigem USA. Not only do they make great products for any kid, they also focus on creating a producing products for children with special needs. Even the LiteCup for instance, is not only a great cup for kids, but would also make a great cup for the elderly who might wake up needing a drink of water. The soft glow of the cup makes it easy for both children and adults to find in the dark.

Check out the Lite Cup in action:

If you are a child, you can't beat the bedtime fun of a glowing nightlight that you can drink from! Even in the dark, because of it's 360 lid, a child can drink from anywhere on the lid. As a parent, the LiteCup gives me confidence that my child can independently drink from the cup, without the worry of any night time spills. It solves the problem of that last call for water and because the nightlight is so fun, my kids have forgotten about being afraid of the dark and instead are content in knowing that the nighttime allows their LiteCup to shine even brighter!
