November has officially arrived and the holiday preparations are well under way. Our family likes to take at least one night a week to put on a flick and enjoy "Family Movie Night" at the Crayne home. This time of year we especially love watching Christmas movies and I love that we can now add The Little House On The Prairie A Merry Ingalls Christmas to our collection.

Just in time for the holiday season, Little House On The Prairie: A Merry Ingalls Christmas arrives on DVD (plus Digital) and Digital HD November 4th from Lionsgate Home Entertainment. the perfect stocking stuffer for the entire family, Little House on the Prairie: A Merry Ingalls Christmas features two heartwarming episodes, "Christmas At Plum Creek" and "A Christmas They'll Never Forget," restored to original broadcast length and remastered for optimal picture and sound quality... Celebrate the holidays with two classic "Little House" specials. In "Christmas at Plum Creek," the members of the Ingalls family share a heartwarming first Christmas in their new home, and Laura makes a personal sacrifice that captures the meaning of the holidays. In "A Christmas They Never Forgot," the family waits out a snowstorm by remembering favorite Christmases from the past. - Taken from Lionsgate promotional material

I remember The Little House On The Prairie being one of the first TV shows my Mom ever introduced to me and I still remember, even as a young child, loving the TV series. There were a lot of TV shows and movies that we couldn't watch because of content, but my Mom always knew this was not a program she would need to sensor. As I grew older, the Little House On the Prairie series as well as many of Laura Ingalls Wilder books became one of my favorite ways to venture into her world and I'm so excited that I get to share these same adventures with my own daughters. And just like my Mom, I love popping this movie into my DVD player (although back then we just waited for the TV Specials to come on - until the VCR came out), sitting down with my family and knowing that we will all enjoy wholesome family fun that is not only entertaining, but teaches us all a little something along the way. This movie took me back to so many childhood memories. This movie is rated "G".
